Read with your children and they will become keen readers.
Introduce your children to the world of books where they can immerse themselves in the world of learning.

Napisah Kepol retired as an Associate Professor at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). She holds a BA in Linguistics from Macalester College, a MSc in TESOL from University of Pennsylvania and a DPhil in Educational Studies from University of Oxford.

Her interest in writing books for children was initiated and strengthened by her participation in two writing projects organized by the National Child Development Research Centre, UPSI and Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, Kuala Lumpur.

Napisah's grandnephews and grandnieces are her muses when she attempts to write her children’s books or mulls over what or how to write. She often wonders about the kind of world that they would grow up into.

She writes with the hope that the young readers who will be reading her books will grow up appreciating good values, humanity and peace. While keeping true to her language teaching background, she crafts her books with the dual purposes of supporting language learning and nurturing socio-emotional development in children. She believes that helping children to understand the meaning and importance of human values can help them to create a better world.
